RentGuard, the first professional service in Romania for checking tenants
We offer a fast, transparent and efficient tool for verifying your potential tenants before signing a contract.
Due to the desire to provide relevant services, the process of checking a potential tenant takes 2-3 working days on average. The delivery time of a report depends directly on the tenant’s willingness to provide us with the requested information/documents.
Each application is analysed separately, with the utmost attention, by one of the members of the RentGuard team.
A good decision always takes time!
How it works

1. Registration of the verification request
Create a free account and send an invitation to a potential tenant.
As a landlord or a real estate agent, you create a free account
You provide us with the tenant’s details (name, e-mail, phone number).
You provide us with information on the property to be rented (exact address, monthly rent, contract term)
Each verification request receives a unique registration number that will be used throughout the correspondence with the RentGuard team; it can also be used to check the status in the control panel
The tenant is informed about the initiation of the procedure, by e-mail and text message. He/she will receive an invitation to register and upload the required documents and information.
2. Consent for verification
The potential tenant accepts the invitation and fills in the form.
Following the agreement, the future tenant will complete his/her profile, providing the following information:
- Profile picture and identity card;
- Documents that will prove the source of income from which the monthly rent is to be deducted (employee certificate, bank statement, proof of real beneficiary, etc.);
- Contact details of their previous landlord – he/she will receive an invitation to leave a review on the tenant
If the potential tenant is a student and/or does not work, he/she may opt to enter the details of a Guarantor (with whom he/she is related), and the verification will be done on the latter’s behalf.
3. The verification process
The RentGuard team processes the data and verifies the potential tenant.
In this phase, the RentGuard team will process and verify the information the potential tenant has provided us. At the end of the analysis, he/she will receive a personalized score, which can vary from 0 (poor) to 500 (excellent), depending on:
- Duration of their employment contract vs. the Lease Contract term
- Monthly NET Income vs. Monthly Rent Value
- Review received from the former landlord
- Judicial information
4. Delivery of the report
You get the RentGuard report and the information you need to make the right decision.
A complete report is sent to the applicant (landlord or real estate agent), to make a documented and effective decision.
